First steps with Linkody

Welcome to Linkody! This quick guide will walk you through the key steps to start tracking your backlinks and competitors.

1. Add your domain

Go to the Home and click “Add Domain”.
You can choose to enable or disable the automatic discovery of new backlinks.

Once added, Linkody will pull existing links from multiple data sources and begin monitoring them immediately.

2. Review your backlinks

Head to the Links Report to explore the backlinks found for your domain.
You’ll see details like anchor text, link status, SEO metrics (DA, PA, Spam Score), and rel type.

Use filters, sorting, and search to analyze and manage your links. Head to the Link Profile Report for an overview of your link profile.

3. Add links manually (optional)

You can track specific backlinks not found automatically or build your outreach list.
Options include:

You can also mark links as prospects to track their acquisition progress.

4. Set up email notifications

Linkody sends daily email reports about:

  • New links

  • Status changes

  • New competitor links

These are enabled by default and help you stay up to date. You can manage them in your Email notificaion settings.

5. Add a competitor

Track your competitors’ backlink profiles to discover new link-building opportunities.
After adding a competitor, Linkody will start pulling their links and scan for new ones every week. When the scan is complete, you will get a Competitor Links Report that you can use to understand your competitors' link profile or to acquire new links.
