Adding a single link
You can manually add a single backlink to Linkody to start monitoring it immediately. This is useful when you acquire new links through outreach or want to track specific links not discovered automatically.
Required field
Referring page URL (URL from) – This is the page where the backlink is located. It’s the only required field.
Prospect link option
You can mark the link as a prospect link using a toggle switch.
If enabled, a dropdown appears to select the prospect status: Candidate, Requested, Pending, Declined.
This status is for your reference only—it does not affect how Linkody tracks the link.

Optional fields
You can define the following optional values when adding the link:
Tags – Add labels to categorize or organize your links
Notes – Add any comments or context
Date added – Defaults to now, but can be backdated
Expires – Set an expiration date to be reminded via email when a link is about to expire
Cost – Useful if you're tracking paid links
Expected landing page URL – If the actual target differs, the link gets a WLP (Wrong Landing Page) status
Expected anchor – If the anchor text doesn’t match, the link gets a WA (Wrong Anchor) status
Must be follow – If the link is nofollow, the link gets a WR (Wrong Rel) status
Report status changes – Enabled by default. If unchecked, the link will still be monitored but won’t trigger email notifications when its status changes.
Adding multiple links from the same page
You can add several links from the same referring page, as long as each one points to a different target page.
If you don’t specify an expected landing page and Linkody detects that links from this source already exist, a pop-up will prompt you to enter the expected target page URL.
This ensures that each link is tracked individually and correctly.
