Linkody’s Contacts mini CMS helps you keep track of the people behind your backlinks. Easily manage your outreach and relationship-building efforts by storing, editing, and associating contacts with specific links.
Accessing the Contacts CMS
You can access the Contacts CMS from the Contacts entry in the left-hand menu.
Account Owners, Admins, and Link Builders can add, edit, and delete contacts.
Contact fields
Each contact record includes the following fields:
First name
Last name
Email
Phone
Contact type (business or personal)
Business name
Position
Notes (free text for any additional info)
These details help you organize your outreach and keep all relevant information in one place.
Searching and filtering contacts
The Contacts CMS provides:
A search field that lets you search contacts by first name, last name, or email address.
A filter on the Contact type field, so you can quickly view only business or personal contacts.
These tools make it easy to find and manage your contacts efficiently, even as your list grows.
Associating contacts with links
When adding or editing a link, you can associate one of your saved contacts with that link. This makes it easy to track who your outreach efforts are connected to.
Using contacts in the Links Report
In the Links Report, contacts appear alongside your links for easier management:
Filter links by contact to see all links associated with a specific person.
Click on the contact’s name to view their full details.
Click on the email address to open your email client and send them a message directly.
You can also choose to display or hide the Contact column using the Column Settings menu, just like other report fields.
Summary
The Contacts mini CMS turns Linkody into a more powerful outreach and link-building management tool. By storing and associating contacts with your links, you can manage relationships, follow up effectively, and keep your link-building efforts well organized.
