Monitoring your landing pages

Detect broken landing pages with Linkody and recover lost link value. Fix or redirect URLs to keep backlinks working and boost your SEO.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

The Landing Pages Report helps you detect and fix issues with the pages your backlinks point to. If those pages are broken or return errors, your hard-earned backlinks lose their value.

What the report shows

Landing Pages Report

Linkody regularly checks the landing pages (target URLs) of your backlinks. If a page is no longer accessible or returns an error like 404 Not Found, it appears in this report.

For each landing page with issues, you’ll see:

  • The URL of the page

  • The HTTP status code (e.g., 404, 500)

  • The number of backlinks pointing to it

Landing pages with problematic HTTP status codes

You can click on the link count to view all the backlinks pointing to that landing page.

Why this matters

When a backlink points to a broken or problematic landing page:

  • The SEO value (link juice) is lost

  • The user experience is poor

  • The opportunity to benefit from that backlink is wasted

These are links you’ve already earned; fixing the target page is usually easier and faster than building new ones.

What you can do

For each problematic landing page, consider:

  • Restoring the page if it was removed by mistake

  • Redirecting it to a relevant working page (301 redirect)

  • Fixing server errors if applicable

Even small fixes can recover lost SEO value and improve your site's overall link health.

Summary

The Landing Pages Report helps you:

  • Detect backlinks pointing to broken pages

  • Prioritize easy SEO wins by fixing or redirecting URLs

  • Maximize the value of your existing backlinks

Regularly reviewing this report ensures your backlinks continue to support your rankings effectively.
