Domain settings

The Domain Settings page lets you customize how Linkody tracks and reports data for each domain individually.

Edit note

Add or update a note associated with the domain. Notes are visible in the Domains Report via the note icon.

Set an old redirected domain

If you've redirected an old domain to this one (e.g., from my-old-domain.com to my-new-domain.com), enter the old domain here.
Linkody will track backlinks pointing to the old domain as if they target the new one.

Set a link-building budget

You can define a budget for each domain to track your spending on link acquisition.
When a budget is set:

  • A Budget/Cost column appears in the Domains Report.

  • The Cost value reflects the total of all link costs added for that domain.

  • If the total cost exceeds the defined budget, the value is highlighted in red to signal overspending.

This helps you monitor and manage link-building expenses directly in Linkody.

Enable/disable automatic discovery of new links

Toggle whether Linkody should automatically find and add new backlinks for this domain.

Enable/disable email reports for new links

Choose whether to receive email notifications when the status of newly discovered links changes.
Disabling this can help reduce noise if you only want alerts for manually added links.

Summary

Domain settings give you fine-grained control over how each domain is monitored and reported. Use them to adapt Linkody’s behavior to fit your link building strategy and workflow.
